It is NEVER ok to be a groupie (aka, the heavily misguided few)... N-E-V-E-R! If there's a certain celebrity that you like and adore, go ahead and get excited about seeing them in person, but you have ABSOLUTELY NO BUSINESS going out of your way to whore yourselves out for them or to sleep with these people.
